Knoch's Jordan Geist didn't stop with the state meet. The junior journeyed out west this past weekend to the Iron Wood Throwers Classic in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho and re-broke his own state record in the shot put. Geist threw 74-4.5, an inch longer than his previous best that he set at Shippensburg University.

He beat out US#2 Adrian Piperi from The Woodlands, Texas, who threw 71-0, just shy of his season best of 71-11. Geist competed in the discus as well, where he placed fourth with a throw of 186-10. North Pocono's Matt Slagus was fifth in the discus with a best throw of 173-01. Slagus was also second in the hammer throw with a best of 206-0.
