You probably remember Claire Brown.
But now it's about time you got to know her sister, Grace Brown. The Villa Maria junior got out well and held a good lead against a strong field to take the girls' Blue Race in 19:32. It's a strong statement for Brown, who is the new leader of the reigning Class-AA state champs.
Villa Maria's pursuit of another state crown took a step in the right direction on Saturday. VM was dominant, scoring 77 points to beat second place Danville Area by 51 points! After Brown, Villa Maria went 7, 15, 23, 35 in the winning effort.
Greensburg Salem's Riley Kwiatkowski was second in 19:42 and Rebecca Bierly of Penn Valley was third in 19:45.
