Fox Chapel girls dominate; Provenzo goes sub-16 again: Mack Cooper Recap

Fox Chapel took the first two spots and claimed the team title in a dominating performance in the AAA race at Slippery Rock, where they'll be in a few weeks for WPIALs.

Sareena Seeger, quietly in the midst of a terrific season, claimed the overall win by a hair over teammate Annika Urban. Both ran 19:37 for the win. Caelen Miller was sixth and Brooke Krally was tenth to make up a very strong top four for Fox Chapel. They scored 43 points en route to the team win. Fox Chapel will be a team to watch in the WPIAL as they will contend for a states spot later this month.

Pine-Richland's Tessa Franchi was third in 19:43 and North Hills' Ava Pietryzk was fourth in 19:47. North Hills took second as a team.

In the AA race, Savanna Carr of Franklin Area edged out South Fayette's Allison Gates for the overall win. Carr clocked a time of 20:09 to beat Gates by a second. Knoch led by Samantha Jo Barnes took the team race, beating out South Fayette by three points, 53-56.

Neshannock's Abby Hutchison won the A race in 19:56 and Northgate's Megan Wisniewski was second in 20:13. Neshannock took the overall win with 68 points over Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic (72 points) and Northgate (73 points)
