Boys' SOL Continental Conference Championship Recap
Connor McMenamin waited his turn.
The Souderton senior saw a pair of PA greats---Casey Comber and Jake Brophy---win SOL Continental titles, but on Friday it was his chance to win it. After having some company through the mile, McMenamin broke away and took the win in the heat in a time of 15:39. McMenamin will be in the hunt next week on the same course at the District One Championships, where he'll look to continue his strong senior campaign.
Central Bucks South's Matthew Scarpill was second in 16:02. Central Bucks West's Brian Mass took third and Souderton's Joe Breen was fourth. CB West has been rounding into form nicely before districts next week. They took the team win with 38 points. Souderton edged out North Penn by a point for second in the meet.
