Last year, the 60 meter hurdles was an event that was dominated by the upperclassmen. Upper Darby's Mason Weh claimed an elusive state title, while we saw a number of others like Milton Hershey's Nasir Salahudin, Kiski Area's Jace Roundtree, Mount Lebanon's Patrick Kimball, and Archbishop Ryan's Monte Guess developed into the top names in the state.
But when we got around to outdoors, a few young stars started to emerge even more. St. Joseph's Prep's Miles Green showed his strength in the 300 hurdles and 400 hurdles and North Allegheny's Ayden Owens won a state title in the 300 hurdles. Germantown Academy's multi-event specialist Kyle Garland also improved in the hurdles. Those three---all in their junior seasons---look to be the strongest 60 meter hurdle returnees this winter.
Green is the lone returnee from the state final last season. Green took eighth in that final, while also competing in the open 400. He has a PR of 8.28 and he's the top threat this season.
