Abbe Goldstein won't soon forget her day at the PTFCA Indoor State Championship. And neither will we.

The Germantown Academy senior and Harvard University recruit completed the distance double at state last week, winning both the mile and the 3000 meters. It's a feat that will go down in PA state meet history.

Goldstein started her day off in the mile, which you can watch below. Goldstein beat a talented field that included Unionville's Anna Juul, who has run 4:52 this season. Gradually, she picked up the pace and managed to drop the field, winning in 4:53.97.

Next up for Goldstein was the 3000 meters later in the day, where she'd face the talented Clar Savchik. Savchik took second to Downingtown West's Aislinn Devlin at XC states, so surely the junior was hungry for a state title. But Goldstein found the strength even after the mile.

Goldstein hung with Savchik and coming into the final lap, Goldstein threw down the hammer and claimed win #2 on the day, clocking a PA#1 9:46.74 for the win.

Goldstein will look to continue this success into next weekend's New Balance Indoor Nationals, followed by the outdoor season. Last year, Goldstein had a limited outdoor campaign because she went to Spain as part of an student exchange program.

Surely, some fast times await her this spring and we'll stay tuned for that.
