2016 was a special year for Chanel Brissett.
But 2017 has the potential to be just as special.
Brissett, the Cheltenham senior, got her outdoor season started off just like the last : at the Pepsi Florida Relays. Brissett ran 13.27 in the prelims and then a 13.34 in the finals. You can watch her race in the finals above. Brissett didn't get her own meet record, but it's still a quality start to the season.
Brissett has some big expectations for this season and this weekend was just the start of her final season of her prep career. Stay tuned.
