GIRLS' RECAP

Two talented female jumpers made their mark on this season's rankings this weekend. Chyna Beck of Canon-McMillan and Brenna Cavanaugh of Bentworth were very competitive in the triple jump.  Cavanaugh won, jumping 37 ft. 5 inches, and Beck took second by a 1/2 inch with a jump of 37 ft. 4.5 inches. Their jumps rank 5th and 7th in the state rankings.

Both Beck and Cavanaugh were busy on Saturday. They went head to head in the 100m hurdles, where Cavanaugh won with a time of 14.71. Cavanaugh also won the 100m dash and and the long jump in 18 ft. 4.5 (PA#7).  Beck returned to win the 200m dash and the 300m hurdles in a time of 47.07. 

Senior Laura Ehrenberger of Peters Township won the 800m, 1600m and 3200m this weekend. Tamara Mathis of Canon-McMillan won the 400m in 1:00.67.


BOYS' RECAP

Isaiah Robinson of Washington won the triple jump with a jump of 46 ft 5.5 inches. His jump this past weekend now ranks #4 in the state. 

In the sprints, Ringgold's senior Brian VanDusen won the 200m in 22.96. He also jumped 21 ft 7 inches to win long jump.

Senior Ben Bumgarner of Waynesburg Central won the 1600m run in 4:30.17 and the 3200m run in 10:07.96.

In the javelin, Devon Brown of Fort Cherry threw 163-9 inches for the win.
