Little has stood in the way of Kyle Garland this year. The Germantown Academy junior and multis specialist is in the midst of a busy summer, which included a decathlon win in Cuba.
Over the weekend at the AAU Mid-Atlantic District Qualifier at Millersville, Garland continued his success with a win in the high jump, clearing a new PA#1. Garland soared over seven feet, two inches (7-2), which ties him with three others at US#3.
Next up for him is New Balance Nationals Outdoor in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he'll compete in the 110-meter hurdles and the high jump. After that, Garland will head to Sacramento to compete in USA Pan-Am Junior Trials.
