What was your most memorable race/competition?
PIAA Outdoor States of 2016 was probably the most memorable competition as a whole. The atmosphere of the campus itself during that weekend is something unforgettable.

Where did you face your biggest competition?

PIAA States, PTFCA States Indoors, and New Balance Nationals because even at our state meet you're racing against some of the top runners in the country. Even our league meet ( Suburban One - Continental) has extremely talented runners and it's always fun getting to race against them.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?

Running a 24.9 in the 200 my junior year after just coming back from a stress fracture and having the time qualify me for Outdoor Nationals.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?

I would've worked a lot harder early on in my high school career.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

Injuries that occurred both my junior and senior year that sidelined me for a good amount of the season.

What will you miss the most?

I think what I will miss the most about high school track and field is the people. Our team is extremely close and there is always someone that is able to make me laugh on a rough day. I've been running for the same coaches and with the same girls since 4th grade, so entering next year with a new team and new coaching staff is a little daunting, but I'm extremely excited.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

Make sure you love what you do, and when you find what you love, give it everything you got. The hard work is definitely worth it, but make sure you have fun while you're at it. Also, cherish the time with your teammates. All the bus rides, dual meets, pasta parties, and practices will come to an end one day, so make the most of them.

How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals overall?

I have been super fortunate to have had an amazing team of coaches over the past couple of years. Coaches Sam Losorelli and Steve Martin have been coaching me since I was about 9 years old, and they have always pushed me to my limits to show me what I am capable of. Over the past two years I have worked with Coach Cardwell Wootten III and in my periods of self doubt during injuries, he pushed me and believed in me when I didn't necessarily believe in myself. He has taught me about being a true athlete and how determination and drive can get you anywhere you want to go. I am thankful to all of them for shaping me into the sprinter I am today.

What are your post-high school plans?

I will be running for Bucknell University next year! Go Bison!

Shout-Outs?

Thank you to my parents, and to my teammates (Katie, Mikayla, Brooke, Rachel, Makayla, Mckenna and the CB East Sprint Squad) for making my senior year one of the best yet.
