What was your most memorable race/competition?
The Suburban One League National Championship 4x800 Final. I lead off the relay and found myself on the line with some of the best runners in PA, but I ran a PR of 1:59 and put my relay in a good scoring position.
Where did you face your biggest competition?
The 2016 PTFCA Indoor State Indoor Championship of my junior year. I lead off Neshaminy's DMR in the 1200 and went up against the very best in the state of PA.
Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
Qualifying for the PIAA 3A District One Championship in the 4x800 meter relay this past spring. We were very skeptical about hitting the time we needed but when it came down to the line, we gave it all we had and shattered the standard of 8:11.9 with an 8:08.3.
If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?
My work ethic the beginning of my high school career. I wasn't committed to running until I met my coach, Shawn DeLosAngeles who gave me all the guidance to be a better athlete than I once was.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
During the Winter of my senior year, I had undergone a surgery for the removal of my appendix and I was out from running for a month. Missing out on my indoor season, I managed to to bounce back in time for my final season of track in the spring.
What will you miss the most?
The people who have been with me throughout my high school journey. Whether they were friends or enemies, they helped me become the person I am today.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Never be afraid to take risks, living in doubt is one of the hardest obstacles to overcome but when you do, it unlocks the door to a whole new dynamic.
How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals overall?
They have inspired me to show my true colors and not be afraid of the trials and hardships that have come in my way.
What are your post-high school plans?
I will be attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania where I will be majoring in Criminology and running Cross Country and Track & Field.
