Individuals Breakdown: District 10 Boys

D10-A Boys - Individuals Breakdown

District 10 Class A was overflowing with talent last season. Need proof? Noah Curtin, who took fifth at the district meet, won the state title at Hershey a week later. That epic display of clutch just displayed how talented and deep D10 was in 2016. Curtin has graduated, along with district champ Connor Walsh of Cambridge Springs and the Myers twins from Seneca. So who is the new blood ready to take over the classification?

It could be Lakeview's Zachary Tingley, who took fourth at districts last fall---ahead of Curtin---and ended up 17th at states. He clocked a sub-2 800 meters on the track this spring, but he seems primed for a big season on the XC courses. Look for him to potentially be the next big thing out of northwest PA.

Cochranton's Noah Bernarding was impressive as a freshman last season. He was eighth at districts and then 32nd at states. Could he see a big drop in time as he moves into his sophomore season? It remains to be seen, but his future is certainly bright.

Maplewood's Jesse Sands was seventh at districts and expects to be in the mix again this year. Mercer Area's Justin Reno, West Middlesex's Luke Mantzell, and North East's Josh Lewis are among the other returners that made states last season and will be looking to do the same this fall.
