Individuals Breakdown: District 1 Girls

D1-A Girls - Individuals Breakdown

Country Day of the Sacred Heart's Emma Seifried will look to complete a historic four-peat in District 1 Class A this season. The senior has dominated the classification since coming in as a freshman. She's also a three-time state medalist, twice taking second place and finishing seventh last season.

She'll once again be in the mix for a state title, and would love to close out her career atop the Class A podium in Hershey. But first will come winning her fourth straight D1-A title.

Her best competition will come from a pair of teammates. Kayleigh Doyle emerged last year as a very strong No. 2 runner on the squad. Doyle even captured the AACA title over Seifried. She grabbed 14th in the state, and will look to improve upon that this fall as a sophomore. Hannah Seifried will also be a factor. Emma's sister had a very strong junior campaign also earning a medal at states. Sacred Heart should have a strong team and high finishes from that trio will be all-important.

Calvary Christian's Abigail Brown, Sacred Heart's Chiara O'Keefe, and Saint Basil's Taylor Thomas will be among the other names to lookout for in D1-A this fall.
