Payton Morris looks primed for a big senior season. The vaulter from East Pennsboro came up just short of an indoor state title last season, placing second to Hatboro's Nick Marino. Outdoors, he ended up sixth in AAA in the pole vault at states. But as he heads into his final year, Morris has the tools to get the job done.

Morris (above) cleared a best of 15-6.25 at indoor states and then jumped 15-7 outdoors. He'll approach the 16 feet mark this season. But while he enters as the favorite, a number of boys will aim for big heights to challenge Morris.

Phil-Mont Christian's Caleb Johnson emerged as quite the talent last season. He jumped 15-0 at indoor states to take an incredible third place. He wound up third at outdoor states, too, in AA. If Johnson (below) continues that progression, he could be tough to beat.
