In the state meet's most epic race last winter, Bishop Shanahan's Nate Alleyne and Saint Joseph's Prep's Miles Green were in a mad dash to the line. Green, who ran most of the last turn on the outside in an attempt to pass Alleyne, dove at the line hoping to take the win, but it was Alleyne who was awarded to the victory by .03.

And now after an injury derailed his chances for a 400 meter outdoor title, Green is hungry as ever to win that elusive state title. Green is a Virginia Tech signee and says he will primarily focus on the intermediate hurdles at the collegiate level, but until then, his sights are set on an indoor 400 meter crown. He went 47.56 outdoors this past spring before that hamstring injury hampered him. Now healthy, he'll be the favorite for the state crown in 2018.
