
Cheltenham built quite the dynasty over the past few years. Two of the stars from that dynasty---Ciara Leonard and Chanel Brissett---helped lead the charge with their dominance in the hurdles. Leonard broke the indoor 60-meter hurdle state record in 2015. Then Brissett added the hurdles to her already impressive sprinting repertoire, breaking Leonard's state record and becoming the third fastest 60-meter hurdler in US high school history.
But with Brissett's graduation (she's at USC now), it will be a changing of the guard. Brissett's dominance can't be understated, but what's worth noting is that the other top hurdlers in the state (many of which are returning this year) were very fast, too.
