Four Girls Top The List At 5-6: Top 200 Girls' High Jump Returnees

One of the more wide open events in the state this season figures to be the girls' high jump. Four girls return having cleared 5-6 last winter and even more cleared that heighth outdoors. Winning a state title will come down to showing up on the right day.

Last year, CB South's Valerie Przekop, one of the state's more clutch performers we've seen in recent memory took home the second of her three career state golds (she won twice outdoors in AAA). Both Lydia Bottelier of Palisades and Kate Willshaw of Easton Area cleared the winning height---5-6---but Przekop took the win on jumps.

Bottelier may be the one to beat this winter. Last year, she saw a huge improvement that culminated with an outdoor state crown in AA. She cleared a best of 5-8 last spring. Willshaw just missed a medal at outdoor states, but has a lot of talent and should be in the mix for the win, as well.
