Pennsylvania Indoor Week 3 Meets On Tap

DVGTCA Meet #2 - Meet Preview

*Based on entries as of 11am, 12/21*

TRACK

The sprints will bring out plenty of good battles on Friday night. The top seeds in the 60 meters are Lower Merion's Aja Davis, Cheltenham's Ni Asia Williams, and Methacton's Amy Domenick. Davis will return for the 200 meters, but he'll face a steep challenge from Cheltenham's Brielle Lewis, Chester's Kamani Johns, and Methacton's Lauren Prusacki.

Coatesville's Porsha Miles will square off with Norristown's Jonae Cook in the 300 meters. In the 400 meters, Springside Chestnut Hill's Alexandria Kitchell will be the one to beat, but Abington's Rorie Spencer isn't one to count out.

Penn Wood has the top seeds in both the 600 meters and the 1,000 meters. Elicia Moore will race the 600, while Kyra Carroll is entered in the 1K. Coatesville's Sammie Miller and Pennsbury's Lizzy Kirk will race in what should be a close 800 meters. North Penn's Ariana Gardizy will make her open indoor season debut in the 3000 meters, which also includes Neshaminy's Kaylee McCullough.

In the 60 meter hurdles, Council Rock South's Elke Knecht and Exeter's Symone Foster will be the ones to beat.

FIELD

Neshaminy's Briana Fredericks will look for another strong effort in the triple jump. Last week, she jumped a PA#2 36-9.5 and she'll look to add to that this week. The high jump should be an intriguing matchup between Cheltenham's Brianna Smith and Upper Dublin's Madison Langley-Walker. Smith cleared 5-3 to win last week, while Langley-Walker has only competed once in her career in the event---a 5-6 outdoors last spring.

Haverford's Cecilia Katcavage will look for a good start to what should be a big indoor season for the thrower. She's the top seed in the shot put.
