Northern Bedford had the frontrunners last year, but Windber Area proved to have the best depth and rode that to the District 5 title and a trip to the state meet last year.
Windber brings back three boys from its varsity squad from last year, which took 17th at states. Tyler Napora and Matthew Shank, the team's top two from a year ago, are both back to try and pace this squad back to Hershey this fall. Napora was third at districts last year.
Northern Bedford will be looking to spoil that, though. NB return its top four from its young squad that took third in the district a year ago. Ian Zimmerman is the defending district champ and Ian Sherlock was right behind him. These two will provide the low points and the rest of the team could come through to send this team to states.
Southern Fulton will have a shot at the top spot as well. Second place last year, SF also has some solid returners, led by Nate Voight, who took fourth at districts last year.
