It was a clean sweep last season for Jenkintown, which took the first five spots at the District 1 Class A Championships at Lehigh to win with the minimum 15 points. Just one boy from that top five and two total from the top seven have graduated. Nothing should stand in the way of the Drakes this fall in District 1.
Led by Jack Miller, one of the top returning boys in the state, Jenkintown should be a force statewide. Luke Miller, Pat Wagner, and Carter Geer are a strong returning core. The battle for the top team spot in 1A appears fairly wide open this fall. After a fifth place finish in 2017, Jenkintown will be aiming to improve that.
Collegium Charter, third last year, has a strong group of returners, and will be aiming to move up. Dock Mennonite is another squad to watch for in D1-A this season.
