3. The mud wreaked havoc on the state
It's no secret that this has been an extra rainy XC season across Pennsylvania. Even on meet days where it didn't rain, many courses felt the effects of wet weather from the days leading up to the meets (*cough* Carlisle *cough*).
Saturday was a rough day as heavy wind and rains ravaged the east coast. Districts 3, 6, 9, & 10 saw plenty of rain and plenty of mud, which surely affected some times. The mudders, like Troy Hart of Reynolds (above), used the rough conditions to their advantage.
Hopefully all runners avoided catching a dreaded cold the week before the state meet...
