The triple jump produced one of the indoor state meet's most exciting events, and we could expect the same heading into this outdoor season, particularly in AAA.

During the indoor season, State College's Stanley Hamilton pulled out his career best jump -- a 48-3.25 -- on his final attempt to move into first place ahead of his brother Lance Hamilton, also from State College. The pair are among the state's top returners this season. Lance Hamilton has the top returning jump from last year's outdoor season, a 48-9.5 from outdoor nationals, which placed him seventh in the country. Lance was third at states last season, the top returner in AAA. Stanley, meanwhile, was 12th last year, but has really upped his jumping game in his senior season.

Harrisburg's Jakari Lomax should figure into the state conversation. The senior was fourth in AAA a year ago at states. He was third with a strong 48 foot jump at states just behind the Hamiltons. Expect him to contend, as well. The only other returning ...
