Boys 3200m: Cameron Binda (Greensburg Salem) - 9:07.99
As far as statements go, few were louder than Binda's 9:07 at the Pine-Richland Invitational on Friday. He posted a huge 27-second personal best in the 3200 meters, taking an impressive win over North Allegheny's talented pair of Zach Kinne and Daniel McGoey (both went 9:15 in the race).
Last year, Binda was fifth in the 1600 meters at outdoor states in AAA, but his effort Friday may convince him to go after a different event fresh at Ship (or maybe he'll just double!). Whatever the case, Binda is showing he's ready for any challenge that lies ahead in the final month of the PIAA season.
