Former Greater Latrobe standout Hanna Green is headed to Worlds.
Green dropped a PR of 1:58.19 in the 800 meters at the USATF Outdoor Championships to take second to champion Ajee Wilson. Wilson went 1:57.72 for the win. The top three qualify for the IAAF World Championships, set for late September in Doha, Qatar.
Green, who is a graduate of Virginia Tech and competes for the Oregon Track Club, will be headed to her first Worlds, continuing her impressive season. After graduating from Latrobe in 2013, Green has been on an upward trajectory ever since and has become one of the nation and world's top half milers.
