Talitha Diggs admitted she wasn't feeling her best on Sunday. The Saucon Valley senior was dealing with a "low flu," but she still executed her race plans and came away with a pair of state titles.
Diggs ran 55.01 to win the 400 meters and then returned later in the day to win the 200 meters in 23.87
"I knew going into it that I'm not feeling the best, so I knew it was going to be one of the harder races," Diggs said of the 400. "But the measure of a champion is not how I do when I'm at my best, but it's how I do when I'm not feeling my best."
After winning the 400 and taking second in the 200 to Thelma Davies at the PTFCA Indoor State Championships last year, Diggs was able to repeat in the 400 and add her first state crown in the 200 meters.
