There were some strong performances at Saturday's VaultWorX Summer Meet, with a number of athletes, who missed out on their outdoor seasons this past spring, posting some strong pole vault marks.
Sydney Horn, a Manheim Township graduate, captured the win on the girls' side, clearing 13-6 for the victory. That matches her career best. Horn is set to compete for High Point University next season. Watch Horn's 13-6 clearance above.
On the boys' side, Frank Amore of Washington (WV) took the win with a 15-9 clearance, while Jackson Tuomey of Brunswick (MD) took second, also jumping 15-9. Hershey's Justin Rogers, a rising junior, took third, clearing 15-6. That's a PR for Rogers, who jumped 15-0 during the indoor season. Check out a video of Rogers' vault below.
