Top Returning Boys Teams By Time In Each Classification

Which Pennsylvania boys XC teams will be the strongest last year? Using best times from this past season and taking out the seniors, we can speculate which teams will be the strongest next fall.

The AAA state champions from North Allegheny, led by Scott Nalepa (above), will have a lot of firepower back next season. The Tigers are the top-ranked returning AAA team. Others like Hempfield and Butler also have a number of talented boys back. The two-time AA state champions, Lewisburg Area, also have a lot of strong runners back season as they go for three-in-a-row. 

These lists use each athlete's best 5K time from this past XC season and scores each classification like a regular XC meet. To make the rankings list, teams must have at least five (5) runners with 5K times in the MileSplit database that will return next fall.
