D'Angelo Stocker picked up an impressive win in the 55 meter dash at Saturday's PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival. The Malvern Prep junior bested a solid field consisting of a few of the state's top sprinters en route to the victory.
Stocker got the initial advantage out of the blocks, getting a nice jump on the rest of the field. He rolled from there, capturing the win in 6.61. That's good enough for a new PA No. 3 in the event, despite Glen Mills' not-so-great track surface that does not allow for spikes to be worn.
Wilson's Ethan Capitano came across for second in 6.81. Red Lion's Randy Fizer was third in 6.86 and Wyomissing's Nashawn Dunbar was fourth in 6.88. While we likely won't get a rematch between these sprinters in a state meet setting this winter, the race served as a good glimpse into the progression of some of these top runners.
