Terrance Laird just missed his first NCAA title by .01 on Saturday. The Louisiana State senior was a close second to Georgia's Matthew Boling in the 200 meter final at the NCAA Indoor Championships held in Arkansas.
Laird, who first attended Penn State out of high school before transferring to Hinds Community College and then Florida State before settling in at LSU, ran a personal best of 20.20 the final, but it was Boling that captured the win in 20.19.

Laird was a multiple time Pennsylvania state champion while at Coatesville High School. For Laird, his new best of 20.20 is currently the second fastest time in the world, trailing only Boling's 20.19.
