Since the pandemic wiped away most of the opportunities to compete in 2020, we are including two lists: returners based on 2019 performances and returners based on 2020 performances.
Below, we have links to the top returners using 2019 and then 2020 performances, as well as a rundown of what to watch for in each event this spring.
100m: There are no PIAA finalists from 2019 back in either AA or AAA this spring, which means there will be plenty of opportunities for breakthroughs this season. Pennridge's Joey Gant has the fastest returning time at 10.73 from a dual meet in 2019. Seneca Valley's Tyler Yurich was just a freshman in '19 when he made the state semifinals. Now two years later, he could be the one to beat in AAA. Upper Dublin's Jaden Price-Whitehead and Imhotep's Hafis Upshaw will also be top threats in the 100 this spring.
