AA Boys 4x100m Relay Preview
Southern Columbia Area will be the team to beat in the AA 4x100 meter relay. The Tigers, who have a ton of depth in the sprints hold the three fastest 4x1s in AA this season and four of the fastest five times. Southern Columbia ran its fastest at the District 4 Championships with 42.51, which is also the sixth fastest time in PA, regardless of classification.
SC has the fastest time in the AA by .77, and will be tough to take down on Friday.
The team with the best shot of an upset is North Catholic. NC went 43.28 to win the WPIAL title last week and will look to supply a good challenge to the favorites. WPIAL runners-up Washington will also be strong in this field, clocking a 43.47 to take second in the district to North Catholic.
Conwell-Egan, Brookville Area, Aliquippa, Wyomissing Area, Wilmington, and Motivation (the 2019 AA state champions) are the other teams with the sub-44 second times, looking to get on the podium at Shippensburg.
