The PIAA will use the "main" course for the 2023 PIAA State Championships.
With the state meet almost here, it's time for us to take a virtual tour of the state championship course. The course has changed slightly in the past few years, and now we finally have an updated look at the new and updated Hershey Parkview Cross Country 5K Course.
The PIAA has two courses -- the main course and the contingency course for weather. The main course will be used if weather does not affect the course. In case rain makes the last 1,500 meters too swampy, the contingency course comes into play. At the 2021 PIAA Foundation Invitational, the lone midseason meet on the Parkview Course, the contingency course was used after rain from earlier in the week soaked the back loop.
