Hebron Puts Down 2 PA No. 1s At Ocean Breeze

Sanaa Hebron has been busy this winter, and that continued this weekend at the Ocean Breeze Freedom Games in Staten Island.

Hebron, who entered the weekend at PA No. 1 in five (yes, five!) events, bettered her own state lead in two of those events. Hebron won the 55 meter hurdles in 8.30 and clocked a time of 38.90 to win the 300 meters.

The Neshaminy senior accelerated over the final hurdle to capture the win in the 55 hurdles to set a new PR and bettering her previous state leader by a full tenth of a second. It's also a US No. 6. In the 300, it was a season best and US No. 6 and just off her PR of 38.75 set at Millrose two years ago. On Saturday, she made up the stagger quickly and controlled the race en route to an impressive season best.

Hebron is also PA No. 1 in the 200m (24.97), 400m (56.05), and the 500m (1:17.94). The reigning PIAA Class AAA state champion has taken every opportunity to claim big wins this season, and she continues to be one of the nation's top sprinters to keep an eye on this winter.
