Not to stir the pot, but as we all know there is a rivalry between the Districts in Pennsylvania. Before and after States every year, a constant debate rises between student-athletes, coaches, and fans. Who really is the best?

So that got us thinking. What if we scored runners from each district as if they were on the same team? Imagine a year-end competition, where athletes represented their Districts instead of their schools. It is a fun hypothetical to consider and we put it to the test.  Now there is no fancy computer system for this, and so these results are calculated by hand. For the sake of time we scored The Top-200 overall times from States, based on our Meet Merge, so a couple of Districts did not receive a score.

We then separated Athletes by District and scored the Top 5, with 6 and 7 displacing on each team. The results are intriguing. It came down to a singular point between District 1 and 7. Girls' Breakdown will be released tomorrow (11/10).
