Ryann Krais composed the 100 mistakes she says she made during her freshman year at UCLA. She was kind enough to share 25. We're quite sure all of us can learn from her observations - and maybe even surpass her 100...

 

1) confidence makes or breaks an athlete
2) patience is a necessity
3) sometimes a step backwards is necessary for a step forward
4) stop comparing high school and college
5) when you promise to trust, you need to trust
6) extra work doesn't always mean better performance
7) ask questions
8)"over-training" is a real concept!
9) LOVE what you do
10) one bad day on the track doesn't mean you're doomed
11) be flexible
12) coaches have different ways of communicating- don't take it personally
13) don't worry about what your opponent is doing
14) stay balanced
15) don't let what anybody else says put you down
