The Norwin boys withstood the challenge of Maryland\'s Walter Johnson HS, taking the varsity race 61-76. McGuffey senior Jeff Weiss posted a smokin\'s solo 15:27 for individual honors. In the girls varsity race, it was Preston WV all the way behind the one-two finish of soph\'s Amber Riley and Kaylyn Christopher, both timed in 20:21. Hempfield freshman Katie Thompson was the top PA finisher, going 20:38 for 3rd place. Maryland\'s Walter Johnson HS was 2nd, and Franklin Regional 3rd.
