Today - we'll look at the girls returning from last year's District 11 Championship. We also added each athletes respective 3200m time and 1600m time (if they ran the event during the outdoor season) as a reference to their potential improvements.
Virginia Kraus's freshman cross country campaign was nothing short of remarkable. She won invitational after invitational before winning the PIAA District 11 Title and then the State Championship. At the end of the season, she was named the PA MileSplit Freshman of the Year.
Can she claim sophomore of the year honors? She will have competition at the state level, but in District 11 she has quite the advantage. She won the 1A Title by nearly two minutes in 2022.
