It's a big weekend for D1 and D3 teams, as many hit regional/national previews and an early season championship meet. Meanwhile, most D2 teams are off in preparation for upcoming conference championships.

The Division III Ranks

The Inter-Regional Boarder Battle pulls most of the top D3 talent while other top teams go out of state.

Inter-Regional Boarder Battle:

Rowan University will host the Metro Region Championship in a few weeks, attracting a lot of Metro Region teams to its invitational, with a few Mid-Atlantic teams wanting in on the action.

Metro Region No.1 Haverford, No.4 Swarthmore, and No.5 DeSales (Rankings via USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll) are among the top teams competing.

Haverford is fresh off an 11th-place team finish at last weekend's Pre-National meet. Expect to see junior Peter LaRochelle setting the pace for the Black Squirrels.

Swarthmore's Cohen Manges and DeSales' Shane Artis are individuals to watch on their respective teams.

Moravian, Ursinus, and Widener are other solid teams that shouldn't be overlooked.

Notably, Mid-Atlantic Region No.7 Misericordia, No.8 Lebanon Valley, and No.9 Saint Vincent (Rankings via USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll) will also race at the Inter-Regional Boarder Battle.

Misericordia's Stephen Rowley, Lebanon Valley's Matthew Santana, and Saint Vincent's Tim Patterson are stand-out runners who will be upfront.

SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational:

Mid-Atlantic Region No.1 Carnegie Mellon (Ranking via USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll) will make its way to New York this weekend.

Carnegie Mellon has a lot of momentum this season after an 11th-place team finish in the gold race at Paul Short, and a team win at their own invitational last weekend.

Team frontrunners Matthew Coyle, Matthew Porter, and Ryan Podnar will lead the Tartan charge.

 Connecticut College Invitational:

Mid-Atlantic Region No.4 Messiah and No.5 Marywood (Ranking via USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll) will race in the Connecticut College Invitational this weekend.

Messiah's Louka Fetter and Marywood's Michael McCann will be the ones to watch.

Other Meets:

 Gettysburg College will host its invitational this weekend, bringing in competition from all around PA.
