It's a big weekend for D1 and D3 teams, as many hit regional/national previews and an early season championship meet. Meanwhile, most D2 teams are off in preparation for upcoming conference championships.

Division III Ranks

Most of PA's top D3 teams will race the Inter-Regional Boarder Battle, while a few stay in state for the Gettysburg College Invitational.

Inter-Regional Boarder Battle:

Rowan University will host the Metro Region Championship in a few weeks, attracting a lot of Metro Region teams to its invitational, with a few Mid-Atlantic teams wanting in on the action.

Metro Region No.3 Moravian, No.4 Widener, and No.6 Haverford (Rankings via USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll) will be among the top teams competing.

Moravian's Amber Poniktera, Widener's Liz Egan, and Haverford's Alice Sappenfield are runners on these teams to make a note of.

Swarthmore, DeSales, and Arcadia are other strong teams competing, too.

Notably, Mid-Atlantic Region No.3 Misericordia and No.8 Lebanon Valley (Rankings via USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll) will also race at the Inter-Regional Boarder Battle.

Misericordia's Grace Gallagher and Lebanon Valley's Lauren Bunke are front runners for these squads.

Gettysburg College Invitational:

Mid-Atlantic Region No.5 Gettysburg and No.6 Scranton (Rankings via USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll) are the top PA teams racing at the Gettysburg College Invitational. 

Gettysburg's Kathryn Hopkins and Scranton's Samantha Hoffmann are front runners on their teams.

SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational:

Mid-Atlantic Region No.2 Carnegie Mellon (Rankings via USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll) will travel to New York this weekend.

The Tartans are fresh off a win from their invitational last weekend and an 11th-place team finish in the brown race at Paul Short two weeks ago.

Orit Shiang is a front-runner to keep on your radar this weekend.
