The AA races were the fastest of the day. Jeff Weiss of McGuffey, toasted the competition by nearly a minute, going an amazing 16:05 considering the conditions. Adam Smith of Greensburg Central Catholic finished 5th to lead his team to the title with 109 points. In the girls race, it was a one-point margin for Seneca over Villa Maria, 104-105. Villa went 3-4, but Seneca\'s 5-6 helped keep pace to give the three to five girls the chance to win. Neshannock\'s Kacey Gibson, a frosh, went 20:24 to win individual honors. General McLane showed up and conquered the weather-beaten course as well as the competition in both the boys and the girls AAA races. Garrett Reinsel\'s 5th place 17:55 lead his team. Scott Maronde of Peters Township won the race in 17:36. The girls race was closer, as General McLane held off State College 96-102. Lindsay Petri lead her team to the win with a 5th place 21:17. Frosh Rachel Humphrey of Fox Chapel captured the individual title in 20:34.
