The 3000m run at the PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival was full of talent, and a few boys ran away at the front.
Leading the bunch was Kevin Sherry (Coudersport), who ended up running a PA No. 3 8:43.39. He controlled much of the race, as Aiden Maue (Souderton) and Edomias Mulugeta (Penncrest) followed him through.
Maue challenged Sherry late but could not overcome his Central PA opponent and ran a PA No. 4, 8:44.71.
Mulugeta finished in third with a PA No. 8, 8:51.43. Somewhat off the lead pack, but still running well was Daniel Danilovitz (Riverside). He crossed the line in fourth for a PA No. 13 8:54.44.

The previous night's 3000m, at the TFCAofGP Last Chance Meet, was also filled with excitement. Ben Wright (Souderton) and Rowan Carr (Penncrest) dueled to the line and Wright narrowly out-kicked Carr. They ran 9:04.51 and 9:04.57 respectively.
Carr's time was the fifth fastest by a PA Freshman All-Time.
