VOTE: PA Girls Athletes of the Week Feb.24

Per your vote, last week's Athlete of the Week was Lexi Boiardi (Avon Grove), winning the Garden State Invitational in High and Long Jumps events with 5-9 feet in the High Jump, which is a PA leading mark and 18-1 feet in the Long Jump, which is tied for the sixth-best mark this season.

The Week's Girls Candidates:

Neenah Trusty (Friends' Central): running in two different meets this week: DVGTCA Tim Hickey Meet of Champions and Kristian Marche Memorial Invitational. She was able to win both her events at those meets in the 400-meter running 56.11, which is third this season in PA, and the 800-meter with a time of 2:13.49, which is fourth this season in PA. 

Lillian DiCola (Hatboro Horsham): another steeler week racing at both DVGTCA Tim Hickey Meet of Champions and Kristian Marche Memorial Invitational. She won both the Mile and 3000-meter in times of 4:56.18 and 9:53.64, respectively, which are also both state-leading times.

Damira Allen (Chester): with an impressive double at the Kristian Marche Memorial Invitational in the 60-meter hurdles and 200-meter. She won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.67, which is second best this year in the state. In the 200-meter, she ran 25.51, earning eighth at the meet. 

Destini Smith (Souderton Area): winning every jumping event at the DVGTCA Tim Hickey Meet of Champions. The High Jump cleared a mark of 5-5 feet, the Long Jump hit a mark of 19-4.5 feet, a state-leading mark, and the Triple Jump with a huge jump of 43-0.25 feet, which is the farthest jump this year nationally. 

Lilyana Carlson (Bermudian Springs): competing at the Bison Last Chance HS Invitational in Pole Vault, winning the meet in a vault of 13-10 feet, second in the state and third nationally.
