VIRGINIA BEACHThe final indoor national high school championship is here, and it's Adidas Track Nationals. 

Nearly 3,400 athletes are scheduled to compete at the Virginia Beach Sports Center from Friday to Sunday and we'll be here to keep you up to date with performances by Pennsylvanians throughout the weekend.

National Elite Girls Shot Put: Emily Jackson (River Valley) takes the title with a throw of 37-6.75. 

National Elite Girls 200m Finals: Tamryn Premici (Central Dauphin East) finished 6th in the finals with a 25.34. 

Championships Girls Long Jump: Avery Lewis (Freinds' Central) claimed the title, with Jaylynn Dorsey (Susquehanna Township) earning the sixth-place spot on the podium. Lewis covered 20-8.25, winning by over two feet, while Dorsey covered 17-9.25. 

National Elite Girls 1 Mile: Quinn Nelson (Mercersburg Academy) ran 5:16.20 to finish sixth in the elite girls' mile, closing the final 200m in 36.64.

Championship Girls Pole Vault: Veronica Vacca (Mount Saint Joseph) obliterated the competition at Adidas Indoor Nationals to win another national title after claiming the New Balance Nationals Indoor honors last week. She cleared 14-1.5.

Lilyana Carlson, Maddy Kelley, Anna Rank, Adeline Woodward and Kate Harnish also competed. They finished in third, fourth, eighth, ninth, and eleventh respectively.

Championship Boys Long Jump: After competing in the national elite division, Thomas Cherian also jumped in the championship division and finished second overall. He jumped 21-9.75.

National Elite Boys 60H Finals: Tyler Burgess came back after finishing second in prelims to win the National Elite Boys 60H finals at Adidas Track Nationals. He shattered his previous personal best an ran an 8.13.

That time ranks at the PA No. 5 spot.

Freshman Boys LJ and HJ: Kendall Payne (Central York) continued his freshman season with a third place finish in the freshman boys long jump competition. Utilizing his very last attempt, he jumped 20-2.5.

Payne then finished second in the freshman boys high jump competition with a 5-10.75 jump.

Freshman Girls Long Jump: Amirah Crabbe (West Catholic | Mt. Airy) continued her stellar weekend with a third place finish in the freshman girls long jump. She jumped 17-0.25, which was her second best distance of the season.

National Elite Girls 200m: Tamryn Premici (Central Dauphin East) qualified for the 200m finals in the National Elite Division by running 25.33 to place seventh in the prelims. That was a new indoor personal best.

Freshman Girls 400m: Bethel Park's Iyonna Sloan ran a 60.72 400m (1:00.72) to place sixth in the freshman division. It was huge personal best for the freshman. Her previous best was a 62.04.

Championship Boys High Jump: Hayden Smith (Union-Allegheny Clarion Valley) added to his decorated resume by winning the Boys High Jump Championship at Adidas Track Nationals. Late in the day, Smith cleared 6-7.75 to win the title. He is poised for a strong outdoor season.

Championship Girls High Jump: Sara McConnell (River Valley) lead the way for Pennsylvanians in the Championship Girls High Jump. She scored a runner-up finish by jumping 5-4.

Championship Boys Pole Vault: Breckin Swope (East Pennsboro), who finished third at this year's state championship, finished fourth in the PV Championship at Adidas Track nationals. He cleared 15-7.75.

Mason Bucks (Palmyra) also cleared 15-7.75 but earned a seventh place finish based on attempts. It was his second best vault of the season.

Championship Girls 4x200m: Central Dauphin East ran a 1:42.08 to place fifth in the girls 4x200m relay championship. That is the third fastest time by a Pennsylvania team this year.

CD East's previous best time of the season was a 1:44.66 from the PTFCA Championship.

Championship Boys 800m: Joshua Sharp (Upper Darby | Delco United) had a HUGE day in the championship boys 800m. The sophomore ran a personal best 1:55.60 to finish sixth.

Sharp finished third in his heat.

National Elite Boys Long Jump: Thomas Cherian (Pennsbury) siexed the moment and jumped 21-10 to finish fifth in the national elite boys long jump.

National Elite Girls Long Jump: Lily Hendricks (Central Mountain) outjumps Kate Harnish (Penn Manor) by three-quarters of an inch for the 8th-place spot on the podium. Hendricks covered 17-1.75.

Middle School Girls 200m: Khloe Khan (Mo Better Jaguars, Philadelphia) and Naomi Mcghee (Red Lion | Spartan Chosen) go 7-8 in the timed middle school girl 200m final.

Khan clocked 26.25, while Mchee went 26.33.

Middle School Girls Mile: Interobo's Saffa Ellis finished 7th in the middle school girls mile. She ran 5:21.61.

National Elite Boys Pole Vault: Gavin Holcombe (Danville Area | Vault WorX) cleared 14-5.5, taking 3rd in the elite boys pole vault. 

Freshman Girls 60H Finals: Amirah Crabbe (West Catholic) got the job done in the 60mH finals, narrowly beating out Renna Rubenstein who finished in second. It came down to four-thousandths of a second as Crabbe got her competitor in a photo finish. She ran 9.23.

Championship Boys Pentathlon: Two Pennsylvanians performed exceptionally well in the Championship Boys Pentathlon.

Jey Brown (The Haverford School for Boys) missed his season best but still put together 3332 points to finish fourth overall. In the 60H he posted an 8.49, he jumped 20-0.25 in the long, threw 46-0 in the shot, high jumped 5-7 and ran a 3:07.98 1000m.

Owen Proskin (Plum) also had great performances in the Boys Pentathlon across the board. In the 60H he posted an 8.74, he jumped 19-04 in the long, threw 40-11.5 in the shot, high jumped 5-10.5 and ran a 3:00.23 1000m.

In total, he posted 3284 points to finish fifth overall.

Middle School Girls Pole Vault: Aimee Frantz (Schuylkill Valley | Vault Worx) jumped 9-4 to finish second in the middle school girls pole vault competition.

National Elite Girls Pole Vault: Jaden Brambly (Laurel Highlands) soars to a height of 11-5.75 to place fifth in the girls national elite pole vault competition. For Brambly, her vault was a new personal best. She now ranks at the PA No. 21 spot.

Freshman Girls Shot Put: Laila Atkins (Westtown School) threw 31-4.75 to place third in the freshman shot put competition at Adidas Indoor Nationals. Her personal best this season was 34-8.5.

National Elite Boys 60H Prelims: Palmyra's Tyler Burgess ran 8.28 to tie the previous meet record and advance out of the prelims with his second place finish. 

He also ran a .02 personal best.

Freshman Girls 60H Prelims: Amirah Crabbe (West Catholic) advanced out of the preliminary sections of the freshmen girls 60mH. She ran a 9.37 which will seed her third going into the finals.

Middle School Boys 3000m: Pine Richland's Jack Steineman got the action going for PA on Friday morning. The eighth grader finished fifth in the 3km with a time of 10:00.50.
