The Larry Simmons Memorial Scholarship
The life and accomplishments of coach Larry Simmons will be recognized at a ceremony during halftime of the Penncrest-Upper Darby boys basketball game on January 28.
At that time, a plaque will be presented to Larry's daughter and later placed outside his classroom.
The purpose of the ceremony is two-fold, to honor Larry and to raise awareness of the Larry Simmons Memorial scholarship fund. The game will be free, but people are encouraged to donate to the fund.
The ceremony will take place at the halftime, which should be about 7:45, and last about 20 minutes.
