Ryan Whiting wanted to throw. So did Tayvon Gray. And so did a few other top shot putters who braved the snow and made it to Kutztown just as the storm was starting. Whiting, who already has the top throw in the US, popped a 65-4 to win his competition. And that\'s right, you read correctly. Tayvon Grayof Coatesville opened her indoor season, showing her talented sister how it\'s done. The Gray, went one-two, with Tayvon throwing 39-01, and Kaleena 38-10.25. Multi-sport talent Amy Backel of Northern had a big day, taking 3rd in the Shot Put at 37-01.50, and winning the High Jump by clearing 5-04. Alea Murphy of Abington Heights ran 8.82 to win the 55 Hurdles. Unionville\'s Christine Smith won the 3000 in 10:46.75. Adam Kravatz, of Exeter, cleared 13-03 to take the Pole Vault. East Stroudsburg South\'s Brian Cullin won the 3000 in 9:12.80. Two Tatnall DE runners were 2nd and 3rd, Unionville\'s Paul Springer 4th in 9:36.20, and Reilly Costigan-Humes of Parkland was 5th in 9:37.84. Sam Luff, Emmaus, went 4:35.58 for 1600m.
