Penncrest\'s Karen Shump had thrown over 40\' twice in this, her first season of high school competition. But a PR of 2\' 5-1/2\" is huge. So huge, in fact, that it puts (pardon the pun) her into US#6. So you don\'t have to do the math, that is 43-1.50. But that wasn\'t the only excellent performance at the DV girls association\'s last open meet of the indoor season. There were hot performances in virtually every event, deepest in the Shot Put, High Jump, 55 Hurdles and 4x800. Conestoga sophomore Emily Moles jumped (sorry, again) up to a tie for PA#3 with a season PR of 5-05 in the High Jump. In the 55 Hurdles, Chanel Williams of Plymouth-Whitemarsh, went 8.3 for the win. In the 4x800, North Penn ran a PA#2 time of 9:37.5, with St. Basil running the 4th best in PA this season at 9:40.0, and Villa Maria the 5th, at 9:41.9. In other notable performances, Krista Simkins, Wissahickon, went 40.5 for 300m; Janessa Murphy, Great Valley, long-jumped 17-08.25; and Central Bucks West ran 4:06.4 for the 4x400 relay.
