Coming Wednesday - Photo Gallery by Karen Ward of 5/19 PIAA District 6 AAA meet @ Altoona
It was an Altoona kind of meet, with both teams winning handily. A ton of points - 40 to be exact - came from junior Rachel Gehret, who set three district records, going 18-09.50 in the Long Jump, 38-06.50 in the Triple Jump, 25.26 for 200 meters, and clearing 5-06 in the High Jump. State College's Katherine Ward went 5:17.60 and 11:52.89 for the distance double. Two Altoona throwers were one-two for the boys Shot Put, as Zach Haulman went 47-11.50 and Justin Plank leapt 47-08.75.
