In it's 26th year of honoring the nation's best high school athletes. Gatorate today announced that Homer Center junior Angel Piccirillo has been named its 2010-2011 Gatorade Pennylvania Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year. Piccirillo won her first state title in AA this past season, most invitationals she entered, and finished 2nd only to last year's PA AOY Sara Sargent of Pennsbury at the Paul Short Run, and to eventual Foot Locker Champion Aisling Cuffe of Cornwall NY. The Cross Country awards started in 2007, and in PA was first won by Shippensburg's Neely Spence, and then by Lewisburg's Sophia Ziemian.
