Father Judge boys had a strong day in the field events. Matt Smalley finished 2nd in the long jump with a PA#6 mark of 22 feet even. His teammate John Landis finished 3rd with a PA#8 mark of 21-10.50. Landis also won the triple jump with a mark of 43-3. Ryan Bernard added on to the Judge field success with his win in the shot put in 46-01.50. As for other PA teams, Central Bucks East ran a PA#5 time of 10:47.06 to finish 3rd in the distance medley relay, Christian Lupica of Holy Ghost Prep ran a T-PA#2 time of 7.68 to finish 2nd in the 55 meter hurdles, Holy Ghost Prep ran 8:18.68 to win the 4x800 meter relay, and Neshaminy ran a PA#9 time of 1:32.71 to finish 2nd in the 4x200 meter relay.
For the girls, Pennsbury ran a PA#7 time of 12:43.76 to win the distance medley relay. Anchor Sara Sargent also won the 1500 meter run in a US#3 time of 4:39.64. Jenny Guidera of Central Bucks East was 2nd in that event with a US#10 time of 4:44.16. Central Bucks East won the 4x200 meter relay in 1:46.40 and Zakiyyah Richardson of Pennsbury ran a T-PA#4 time of 7.30 to win the 55 meter dash.

Cheltenham's Matt Gilmore broke the facility record in the 400, going 50.23.
Darrell Hill of Penn Wood improved on his PA#1 mark in the shot put from December 11 with a US#8 mark of 59-1. Central Bucks West boys won the 4x800 meter relay with a PA#2 and US#8 time of 8:01.86. Wissahickon was 2nd with a PA#4 time of 8:08.70. Central Bucks West also won the 4x200 (1:35.22) and 4x400 meter relays (3:28.76, PA#6) to earn a complete relay sweep.

Kevin Day of Glen Mills became the new state leader in the 55 meter hurdles with a winning performance of 7.65. Day also won the long jump with a PA#3 mark of 22-07.75. Tom Trainer of Lasalle won the 1600 meter run with a PA#8 time of 4:24.65. Luke Lefebure of West Chester Henderson won the 800 meter run with a PA#7 time of 1:59.15. Broderick (Manny) Collins of Strath Haven was 2nd in a PA#8 time of 1:59.32. Jean-Luc Twyman of Coatesville cleared 6-4 to win the high jump. Trevell Moxey of North Penn won the triple jump with a PA#5 mark of 44-11.

Friday: Abington boys sets a new all time state record in the 4x400 meter relay by holding off Dematha (MD) in a winning time of 3:16.78! The time breaks the previous record of 3:18.73 that was set by Glen Mills in 2002. Josh Swift led off in 49.5, Macey Watson split 49.3, Tevin Smith gave Abington the lead with a 48.7, and Will Taylor held on to the lead with a 49.0 split. Kyle Moran finished 4th in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:28.93, good for US#4. Abington girls finished 4th in the high school girls 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:59.13.

North Allegheny cross country state champion Ryan Gil's US#1 performance in the 3000 meter run. His winning time of 8:36.60 is 14 seconds better the next PA 3000 meter runner and 3 seconds better than the previous US#1. Wade Endress of Altoona improved his state leading 800 meter time with his winning performance of 1:55.56, which keeps him at US#8. Brandon Krszal of West Allegheny was 2nd in the 800 with a PA#5 time of 1:58.52, and Tyree Squires of Penn Hills ran a PA#7 time of 1:59.10 to finish 3rd. Endress added a 4:21.43 winning mile to his strong day. Ian Welsh of Pittsburgh Central Catholic moved up to 2nd on the state list in the triple jump with his winning mark of 47 feet even. Shakeil Carter of Bethel Park won the long jump with a PA#7 mark of 22-00.50. Dakota Walker of McDowell (7.02, T-PA#4) and Shakeil Carter of McDowell (7.03, PA#6) went 1-2 in the 60 meter dash. Deandre Black of Schenley ran a PA#3 time of 22.64 to win the 200 meter dash. Greg Garmon of McDowell ran a PA#8 time of 50.44 to win the 400 meter dash.
For the girls, Rachel Serafin of Hempfield regained the state lead in the shot put with a winning mark of 43-00.50. Iman Wilkerson of Penn Hills also became a state leader, winning the 200 meter dash in 25.27. She also won the 60 meter dash in 7.78. Nicole Hilton of South Fayette (10:16.68, PA#4), Kendall Seymour of Central Cambria (10:24.39, PA#5), and Meagan Carter of Shaler Area (10:24.56, PA#6) went 1-2-3 in the 3000 meter run. Penn Hills ran a PA#6 time of 1:46.61 to win the 4x200 meter relay and added a 4:12.97 to win the 4x400 meter relay. Larisa Debich of Hempfield cleared 12-4 to win the pole vault. Lexis Frost of Butler won the triple jump with a PA#2 mark of 36-06.50.

Eric Hunter of Northampton, Donny Scatena of Central Columbia, and Ben Steele of Central Dauhpin East all cleared 14 feet in the pole vault. Jamal Devine of Williamsport Area ran a PA#7 time of 7.77 to win the 55 meter hurdles. Drew Magaha of Upper Moreland won the 800 meter run with a PA#2 time of 1:56.61. Matthew Groff of Hempfield (8:59.77, PA#6) and Vince Fadale of Selisgrove (8:59.78, PA#7) went 1-2 in the 3000 meter run.
For the girls, Kathleen McPhillips of Carlisle won the triple jump with a PA#4 mark of 36-2. Amy Darlington of Liberty (5:13.62, PA#7) outleaned Chloe Schmidt of State College (5:13.82, PA#8) to win the one mile run. Jess Cygan of Liberty ran 10:30.10 to win the 3000 meter run. Coatesville ran 4:08.43 to win the 4x400 meter relay.

Leah Nugent of Abington was a double winner on the night, winning the 55 meter hurdles in a new state leading and T-US#3 time of 7.8h. Nugent also shared winning honors with current state leader and teammate Jordan Matthews, with both running 57.4h in the 400 meter dash. Nugent is now PA#2 in the 400 meter dash. Dina Ramadane of Conestoga finished 2nd in the 800 meter run with a PA#4 time of 2:17.3h. Natalie Deacon of West Chester Henderson finished 3rd with a PA#6 time of 2:17.9h. Lydia Ali of Radnor finished 2nd in the 55 meter dash in 7.0h and finished 4th in the 200 meter dash in a PA#4 time of 25.2h. Nicole Gratsy of Abington finished right in front of Ali in a PA#2 time of 25.1h and 4th in the 400 in 59.1h. St Basil's Academy finished 2nd in the 4x400 meter relay in 4:09.0h and Downingtown East finished 3rd in the 4x800 meter relay in a PA#5 time of 9:35.9h. Grace Giampetro of Villa Maria Academy finished 4th in the pole vault with a clearance of 11 feet even.
For the boys, West Chester Henderson finished 8th in the distance medley relay with a PA#2 time of 10:33.6h. Penncrest finished 2nd in the 4x800 meter relay in a PA#3 time of 8:03.0h. Michael McGowan (9:42.9h, PA#2) and Mahdi Koliso of Glen Mills (9:43.4h, PA#3) finished 4-5 in the 3200 meter run. Ian Barnhill of Downingtown West finished 2nd in the 1600 meter run with a PA#8 time of 4:22.9h. Kyle Moran of Abington finished 4th in the 800 meter run with a PA#2 time of 1:56.0h. Luke Lefebure of West Chester Henderson finished right behind Moran in a PA#5 time of 1:58.2h. Macey Watson of Abington (50.1h), Jonathan Stiles of Penn Wood (50.3h, T-PA#9), and Will Taylor of Abington (50.3h, T-PA#9) finished 3-4-5 in the 400 meter dash. Kevin Day of Glen Mills finished 4th in the 200 meter dash (22.7h, T-PA#8) and finished 3rd in the long jump with a mark of 21-11.50. Brent Charlton of Downingtown West finished 3rd in the triple jump with a T-PA#5 mark of 44-11. Teammate Lou Smith cleared 6-4 in the high jump to finish 3rd.
