Manheim Township, on the eve of the highly anticipated showdown with NE#7 Coatesville, has rejoined the top ten NTN/Harrier ranking at #9 in the Northeast following their impressive 93 point win at the District 3 race on October 29. And the Chambersburg girls, who have been improving all season, produced an equally impressive race at District 3, posting a team average of 19:48, only a second off the average of last year's state champ Unionville team. They now are ranked #10 in the Northeast. Both teams will face formidable competition at the PIAA State Championships on Saturday, November 5th. Manheim Township and Coatesville were ranked #4 and #5, respectively, in the NTN/Harrier Pre-Season rankings. Coatesville had maintaiined their NE#7 ranking in last week's poll, while last week's NE#10 LaSalle College HS, is unranked this week.
